Can anyone direct me to a guide or tutorial for Recode 3? I've done some searches, can only find guides for the older versions.

    Thanks

Thanks, that Nero manual is helpful, but it does not address the problems I an having. Still looking for a tutorial that focuses on making backups of DVDs.

Seems pages 20 - 33 nicely explain all the various choices for DVD back ups.

You speak of 'problems' but don't say what they are.

    Here's some light reading.

    The problem:

I've tried to backup three dvd's so far (with AnyDVD installed). Two of them showed as "not compressable" in the screen that is supposed to have the % slider, and the third one showed up correctly there (with the slider) but when I went to do the backup, in 15 minutes it had only progressed to 8%, and said it had 3 hrs to go, so I aborted it.

All three of these movies I've already backed up on my XP computer using AnyDVD and DVDShrink.

I did a search in the Nero guide for "not compressable" and it is not in there. Also did some web searches for that, no luck so far.

    Thanks

Don't know about Vista but "not compressable" error also occurs with DVD Shrink.

Could just be some form of protection or bad/fake encrypted cells. These can be removed with VoBlanker.

A search of these forums reveals some insight.
