YOu shouldn't multitasking during any of this. Close all unneeded apps via task manager. Just leave it until it's done. You are using one of the worse media out there. Switch over to something better like Tayo Yuden or Verbatim. Sony and Fuji are fine but only it they are MADE IN JAPAN. You better hopw creaky doesn't see this or he'll give you a link to a WHOLE PAGE thread on CMC Mags media. It seems as if he a thread for every bad media out there. Added memory so now I have 512 instead of 256. Still with problems. I know I'm getting nailed for CHEAP media but the fact is I have backed up several dvd's without any issue with this same media type.
