Recommendation for HD backup

    I am looking for the best (fastest, most efficient) way to backup my computer before reformatting because of spyware/viruses.

    I have a DVD burner but want to make sure I get everything but the viruses, so if you know a good plan to follow please help me out.

    Norton Ghost, PowerQuest DriveImage or something to that effect. Back it up onto your DVD burner and restore afterwards.

    As for the viruses, you're gonna have to scan beforehand.

    so you mean if i did either of the things mentioned above then i would still have all the spyware/viruses afterwards?

    Well if by "either of the things" you meant "scan beforehand" then no. Otherwise yes.
