Guys, I'm considering purchasing a Dreambox. This is due to the fact that it POSSIBLY could be future proof in the event of VM changing the encryption process. What model of The Dreambox would you recommend and are they like a Starview and Eurovox to setup (easy)? Thanks a lot
Nobody knows what boxes will work after Nagra 3 is implemented. If you have a box that works at the moment, my personal advice to you would be to wait.
Hi Dm 500c or dm600pvr if you need HD and recording on board, they are nothing like the Starviews/Eurovox's and have a very steep learning curve if you are a newbie to get the best of FTP connectivity. Suggest you do a little research first either on site using 'Search Messages' at the top of the forum or google. jbvid
hi, i am thinking of a dreambox 800 or itgate 220. these seem a very different box to what we are used to! not much help here regarding these box's so you will have to check other forums like techwatch,datadrome and digital kaos. users of these box's are here. no disrespect to afterdawn. do some homework before you buy any of these box's. i am waitng to see what happens with are other box's. also, there is software issues with these which have not been sorted, ie freezing every 20 secs or so.
