Use DVD Decrypter to create an ISO file on your hard drive and then ImgBurn to burn to the dual layer discs. Both free programs.

Rip with DVD Decrypter in ISO mode and burn the ISO File with the same application (or with ImgBurn preferably).

PS The only good DL media out there is Verbatim.

I would burn the ISO with ImgBurn as it handles the layer breaks better than DVD Decrypter.

    or clonedvd 2 with anydvd

if your going to use dvd decrypter or imgburn with anydvd to do the newer movies setup dvd decrypter this way

To use DVD Decrypter in conjunction with AnyDVD as stated per Olli ->OF SLYSOFT AND CLONEDVD

Proceed to the DVD Decrypter Opening Page - Tools - Settings

I/O Tab - Click on "Elby CDIO-Elaborate Bytes"

General Tab - un-check "Check For Structure Protection"

Since you partly answered a question I was going to ask...I use both DVD Fab Decrypter and DVD Decryter for my ripping. DVD Decrypter is my primary ripper, but sometimes I am forced to rip with Fab Decrypter because DVD Decrypter messes with structure making it impossible to play some extras. I don't use Clone DVD. My tool of choice is DVD Rebuilder (and sometimes Shrink). To set up DVD Decrypter correctly, do I need to check only {General Tab - un-check "Check For Structure Protection"} right? Is there anything else to check?

PS I was a toddler when that commercial came out, but I love it. It's timeless. I even downloaded it. LOL.

One last thing...In the I/O tab I've always had SPTI Microsoft. Is thre any reason for using ASPI or ASAPI? Just curious...

nope just use the default setting checking Elby CDIO-Elaborate Bytes only ,also make sure your automatic updates are turned off you dont want the program talking to the internet

Oops! I got confused. I thought the Elby CDIO option needed to be checked only if I was going to use Clone DVD. So it's both options that need to be checked for ANY DVD with or without Clone DVD right?

PS What about ImgBurn? Do I need to check the Elby CDIO too even if don't use Clone DVD?

clonedvd 2 is a totally different program you dont need to change anything in it. you dont need to change ANY setting in anydvd.

do this set everything at default in decrypter them set it up this way only

Hey guys...I was just wondering if DVD Decrypter v3.5.4.0 (the last version) is able to overcome ARccOS protected DVDs. I know AnyDVD, DVDFab Decrypter and MacTheRipper can do the job, but just wondering if anyone knows if DVD Decrypter can?

    To: hermes_vb

Can you give me an example of when and how DVD Decrypter messes up the file structure so I can know when to avoid using it as opposed to something else (like Fab Decrypter)?

Also, anyone know if DVD Fab Platinum is the newer version of DVD Fab Decrypter?

The first case that comes to mind is Eagles - Hell Freezes Over DVD. This DVD was kinda uncommon. Main movie was composed of the making of followed by the actual concert. The Extras was merely a single DTS track that when played it showed a still image of the band with an animated DVD Title going from one side to the other.

When I ripped it with DVD Decrypter it extracted everything, but must have modified the IFO file or something because the DTS track was not accesible. Neither was the Select Audio Menu. Also, when started, it jumped directly to Track listing instead of Main Menu, which was available if you press the menu key. After ending up with a messed copy, I ripped with Fab Decrypter and everything was fine.

I can't tell you when to use one or the other. Hopefully with this configuration (I wasn't aware of), we'll have no problems of this type.

PS DVD Fab Platinum is a Ripper/Transcoder/Buner package made by DVDIdle. Fab Decrypter is just the ripping part of that package and it's free.

You could still use Nero Recode to do DL.

    Use AnyDVD with it ??
