Recompiling PAL DivX to NTSC?

    I have a Panasonic DVD-S43, which supports DivX; many of the programs which I want to burn are in PAL format, which this model does not support.

    Can a program like AVIRecompile convert from PAL to NTSC? If not, is there a program which will do this?

    Did a quick search and the first result was amazon.co.uk and UK means PAL, so the player definitely supports it.

    I bought it in North America and the manual states explictly that it does not, although I discovered this by playing a data DVD with both PAL and NTSC video footage, prior to reading it

    convertxtodvd will do a conversion from pal to ntsc

    convertxtodvd converts avi to dvd files not another avi in ntsc/pal
