i got this iso+mp3/cue of sonic R and virtua fighter 2 for the PC. These games have there cd audio converted to mp3s in the file zip i downloaded. Problem is the guy used cdrwin to make specially package it, and cdrwin wont detect my cd-r.

i tried using nero to reconstruct by loading the cue filesbut the game does not have cd-audio tracks when i make a virtual image with image recorder.

here is what the dude says in his readme.

Is there any special setting on Nero i could use to get this to work. Or is there and alternative to cdrwin i could use?

    thanks

Whoa whoa... hold on a sec.... CUE files are for BIN images not ISO images. Thats the first major issue. Secondly, although you can create a CUE for a (BIN) cd-image like that with notepad or what not, you will have to create an individual one for each possible cd-image because not all cd-images have 4 tracks of audio and not all of them have them as CD+EXTRA or Mixed-Mode. A better and simpler solution would be to use a CUE Creator (google it) or to use CDMage (free) to create one:

You can create CUE files for BIN images by first drag-and-dropping the BIN file onto CDMage. It will popup a dialog box asking you to specify the interpretation format. Trial and error will get one to to successfully open the image. Once it is opened, File --> Save As and give it a new name. CDMage will resave the BIN file but now also include a CUE file to go with it.

i would also think so too, but i have downloaded several pc engine games (an old cd console)consisting of iso+mp3/cue specially packaged (60MB) and have been able to recreate the full cd just by loading the cue file in nero and then either writing to a cd or using a virtual image.

This situation is similar i have 1 .iso file (data track) several mp3s (audio tracks) for the pc games (packaged like this to super compress for easy downloading), and nero accepts the cue file BUT when i create the image and install the game mounting the image in image drive the game does not see the audio tracks when i run it and i get no cd audio (but the game runs)

Perhaps what you are supposed to do is to first burn the data ISO and then burn the MP3 cue? (or the other way depending on whether it is a CDExtra or MixedMode).

What title was this that you were tyring to burn? :)
