Hey all, hope everyone is having a great start to this long weekend. Just wondering if anyone knows whether its possible to hook my computer upto my "Digital Cable Terminal PVR", and burn the movies that I have saved to the hard-drive. What kind of program(s) would I need, and what kind of hardware. Any & all input is greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

Don't those things usually have some kind of USB or firewire no? That would be the way to transfer. The only thing is that cable puts some type of scrambling into the cable signals and you will most likely need some type of hardware to bypass it.

I am not 100% positive on this, but I suspect it because cable does not even offer true Digital service because copy protection is not good enough and they do not want you to get 100% quality movies.
