This seems like it would be a good machine if I could get it to record. It will record for 2 to 20 minutes, then stop, freeze up and if I get it re-started it has forgotten everything it knew (correct time/ TV guide ect) and has to be re-programed. Tried all the new firmware, then tried the hacks... no joy. is there a fix for this????
Sounds to me like it's defective. Mine has no problems. I would consider exchanging it at the store before you are out of the date range for returns/exchanges.
Last one off the shelf at the local store. Brand new yesterday. I will return it today for refund. I only wanted it for the TV guide feature.
They had one more in the stock room (unopened). Brought it home, its now recording a 3 hour test. Seems to be working, if it does I'll be a happy camper. The wife will be able to pick her shows off the tv guide. She doesn't like programming the ILO we have.
Glad to hear it. You won't be disappointed in the unit. PCWorld tested several and they each had their quirks but the LiteOn was the highest rated if I remember correctly.
