Does anyone know of a sound card that will support "What you hear" recording and work with Vista. I installed a Audigy SE and now I find out Vista has a different sound architecture and will not allow it to work like XP.It worked great on my old puter but will not record on Vista. Hi Q makes recording software and has a FAQ to help with this, so there must be a card out there somewhere.

None of those options show up. It will take a sound card that will work with Vista. MS is taking XP off the Market!!! Screw MS, they have something that works and they want to screw everything up!!!!

First off...If you have a computer that everything works great..then that is great!! Then it ages out or breaks and you have to get a new one and you can only get Vista and there is one problem after another...that sux's. I hate Vista!!

Try a 'Virtual Souncard' app like TotalRecorder. IDK if it works with Vista or not.

I did. That's what the Hi Q is. With Vista, it does not allow the sound card to be recorded from. The Card plays everything through the speakers, but does not allow it to send it anywhere else. Hi Q FAQ's addresses the problem but does not disclose which card it will work with. I'll check Vista's website to see if they do.

I'd still try TotalRecorder. It doesn't even need a soundcard to record. I don't see me using Vista anttime soon and am curious.
