I am using Streambox to record audio streams with no problems. But is it possible to record the stream from the BBC listen again service? No link is provided to the actual stream, but I believe there is a way of finding it. Regards IKB.....!!!
I use Project URLSnooper. Not sure where you'd get it from, but a Google search may throw it up? Hope this helps you, Pete.
I liked the sound of TotalRecorder, however...the site seems to have 'gone' now. And the demo puts a sound into the recording. Unless someone knows where I could purchase a copy from? @IKB: The list of sites was a good find, thanks for the link. Pete.
Wavepad provide a FREE version http://nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html If you can download a*.ram file direct for the audio stream, and load it into Wavepad, it will download the complete file. So far this works for BBC listen again, now known as iPlayer. Obtain the *.ram file from here http://2blu.co.uk/ IKB.....!!!!
@olyteddy, I Googled for Total Recorder, lots of sites linked to the makers sites (various) but (in the UK) it just comes back Server Not Found. No problem though, I've found a site to purchase it from ($29.95) £15 in our measurements @Isambard, I have downloaded a free version and agree with olyteddy...excellent. After purchase hopefully the 'inserted' noise will be removed from recordings. To both, thanks for the initial enquiry and the helpful answers. You learn something everyday, excellent site. Pete (UK)
I take the page apart and find the stream url.. open it in vlc player and hit the record button. Works for me even though they have done their damndest to stop a non windows owning license payer accessing what I have bloody well paid for... I'm going back to sticking a good oldfashioned tape in my stack system and hooking up my dab radio.. stuff em.
