hi davidto 520, you know with a little bit of searching you could easily find your answer, but well since you havent heres the answer to your 1st part Try the link below, it will allow you to download a free version of divx to dvd.This program will allow you to convert your avi file to that of an mpeg2 format. http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Once you have an mpeg2 format, this program will generally give you a video_ts/audio_ts folders you can use nero or imgburn to get your project to disc.
