[background info] I run a sports website which caters to hockey fights.

    Problem:

I'm having a problem DVD recording on certain channels.

I have comcast digital able. I use a Sony DVD/VCR combo to record from my Sansung HD TV. I get a pop up window from my DVD recorder that says "unable to record-copyright protection." It even happening on NHL Network On The FLy when they show some highlights. For example, I tried recording a hockey fight, but I couldn't. My guess is because the highlight was from MSG, which probably doesn't allow dubbing.

So, I'm looking to see if there is any hardware that I can link right into my cable box or DVD recorder, like a de-scrambler, that will bypass this. I'm not looking to use my computer-so no software.

Any idea's? This never happened before until this season.

    Thank you
