Rip the DVD to the hard drive.
Open the movie in 'Avidemux' (usually VTS_01_1.VOB is the first file, the rest should load automatically).

On the left side menu choose the audio settings to save the file as a stereo wav.

On the top menu choose 'Audio' and save the file with a new name (including extension) e.g. movie_audio.wav

Since the audio file is probably too large (over eighty minutes) for one audio CD, it will have to be cut to size.

Load the wav file into 'Audacity'.
Verify that the project rate is 44100.
Select the first part to save (audio cd's run around 74~80 minutes - the image shows I selected 23 minutes) and save as a new wav.

Nero (alternately, 'Imgburn' can create a compliant audio CD from the file) can be used to burn the files to disk.
