Hi jettaria, Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop. • Run the SDFix.exe by double clicking on it. • Allow it to install into the default location which is normally c:\SDFix Reboot your computer in "Safe Mode" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer beep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode". • When you have booted into safe mode, open the C:\SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script. • Type Y to begin the cleanup process. • It will remove any Trojan Services or Registry entries found and then prompt you to press any key to Reboot. • Press any Key and it will restart the PC. • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons. • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt. • Attach the Report.txt file to your next message. Do this first, to get rid of the “Bugs” :] Then mabe we can clean some of the other trash out…. 2OG NOTE: You must be in the an admin acct. for this to work..
Okay... I might not be of much help here, but jettaria, if you can do me this one favor, you will be my best friend forever! Could you go to C:\Windows\system32 and list all your files by date? Make sure both hidden files and folders and hidden system protected files are able to be viewed in the folder options. Scroll to the latest files, and find any random-named dll or exe files. Could you copy them onto somewhere else, change their file extensions, and then put them in a password protected zip file? If you did all that, I will give you my email address, where you can email it to me. If anyone is wondering why I am doing this, I just wanted to nail this particular variant of Vundo/Smitfraud (it seems to be a combination of the two) as many antimalwares have failed. Best Regards PS: Sorry if I am interrupting anything.
