Recycling Cyberhome CH300S chasis/case

Kay, I have 2 Cyberhome CH300S, one's dead - got dropped off top of tv, knocked laserhead etc outta place, got it as a gift thus no receipt. CH refuses to replace the parts , bestbuy tells me to just junk it.

Well I gutted the case tonite as Im bored outta my mind. Spent 4 hrs scouring google for replacement parts for this model Cyberhome dvdplayer to no avail. So Im left with just tossing the chasis/case OR finding a new use for it. Im trying to with option B. Id like to turn it into a standalone mediacenter / media pc if possible. Or at least see if its possible to retrofit another dvd loader/dvd drive in there.

Any of you hardware guys have any ideas?
