Hello all, Im new here so be easy on me lol. Ive been playing red alert 2 for a while now but recently had to reinstall it due to a new hdd. I have windows xp home edition and sp2, the game will install into its proper folders on my system but will not show up under Start- All Programs and it will also not show up in Add and Remove programs. I can launch the game from its folder but cannot get it to go online, it keeps giving me the error about westwood shared internet components not being installed, I have installed it numerous times but still no joy, it also crashes if I try to play 1 player mode. Ive tried compatability mode (never needed it before!) and tried going to Safe mode then restarting but still no joy. Any help appreciated. Rippers

Is your installation legal? If it is, perhaps you should email Westwood Studios. Also, If you already own a legal copy, it is completely within your right to get an illegal copy which does actually work.
