ever since i modded my box i haven't been able to connect to xBoxLive. so, i finally got up enough nerve to get a new eeprom and try to fix that. i put that eeprom in a week ago. well, i was JUST playing halo2, went to eject my disc, then i saw the xenium screen with the picture of the chip on it, then it went blank. now i'm stuck with these christmas lights. - v1.1 xBox with xeniumICE (OS v2.3.0) / 300GB Maxtor can someone PLEASE explain, or link me to a tutorial on how to fix this?! also, do you know why this happened in the first place? could i have prevented this?
chech if there is an error number at the top left corner of the screen, then there are websites that will tell u what the error means and how to fix it
you know, i really appreciate you guys taking your time out to try to help me here. but, wtf?!! i honestly DO NOT know how to make myself any clearer. in my origingal post, i've stated EXACTLY what's going on with my box. so, you guys are asking questions that have been already answered. if i power on my box, i get red and green flashing lights around the eject button, a blank screen on the tv, and NOTHING else. i need to know: - what causes this problem? - could i have prevented this problem? - how do i fix this?
OK Bro here the deal. There have been problems with 300gb HD. I have a small problem myself. I had a 300gb HD and I would load it with game and then the games would be erased and I had to start all over again pissed. The best thing to do is reformat your HD with an auto installer or evox and then start over again. What dash or launcher are you using. I like avalaunch works well with 300gb hd. Next is to check the chip to see if there is a multiple boot option. If so, wire the secondary option to the board for xbox live play. I know that the chip supports this option two extra wires
On thing I forgot, who modded the system, it may have a wire that is not connected and needs to be resoildered to the board/chip. This will also give you the x-mas lights and a blank or error screen.
my box was modded last September. i'm not sure how that's even possible for the chip to mysteriously go bad due to a solder problem 5 months later. as i've already stated. i've recently installed an eeprom as of last week. the box was just fine after that when running retail and hacked bios. so, no problems until now. i wanted to change games, and when i went to eject the game, poof! it was toast from that point on. i need this fixed ASAP!! i'm seriously having withdrawal symptoms from not having my box. all my music and movies are inaccessible now due to this problem. does anyone know how to fix this?!!!
Try this, not sure that it will work but this is what is used when you burn your eeprom. http://arisme.free.fr/Xbox/Reflash/
did you read that page you sent me? no where on it does it mention how to fix your eeprom when your box CANNOT boot.
