Hi every1, about 2months ago my 360 got the red light error and since then i an't been able to play obvs, my 360 is chipped with the ixtreme firmware. Now could any1 suggest what i should do with this issue on the red ring of death. would appreciate help. Miguel
Flash it back to original firmware,call MS up and tell them your 360 flashes 3 red lights(dont mention you opend it).Then just wait until you get a refurbished unit back,worked for me and many others
Hmmmm thats interesting that you returned yours to ms and they gave you a new one, the first thing they check is to see if the warrenty sticker is gone under the face plate. Still you may get lucky or not. If you lot want me to fix it for you professionally then private message me and bare in mind im in the UK.
i was going to send mine back, spoke ot ms on the phone , they emailed me a lable for ups ,,,, but being wary and unconvinced id get it back fixed as its flashed,,, i took it to a local shop who will repair it,,,,,,, they took the plate off in the store and the sticker has been removed and folded and ruined,,,, so ms,theyd know for def its been messed with, im not taking the chance of not gettin it repaired by ms,,, so im gonna see who much for a repair by someone else,,,,,,, its a E74 prob.,i konw ive read many have got them back repaierd flashed or not,,,,, but ive only read it,,, not personally know anyone whos been successful?
Stop being scared and send it,all I did was clean up all the glue(or whatever you want to call that silver stuff left from the warranty sticker)and they sent me another working unit.At worst all that would happen is theyll send it back to you just untouched.
well the company i had it from, wanted £60 to send it to them, unflash it, send it back, sent to MS get it "fixed" send it back ot them and re flash it and return to me,,,,,,,,,, now before i did that i took off the cover and the sticker was all mangled up so dont thing MS will fall for that,,,,,,,,,, and id have been done for the £60???
i sent my 360 for repair on wednesday, so i guess i'll be waiting for 2weeks till i get it bck, and i did send my 360 flashed.
ill be waitin with baited breath then, hope you get a result,,,,,,,,, are you uk or overseas,,, not that is should make a difference,,,,, but you never know??
Nah it shouldn't make a difference i think it depends on who you get a technician. I sent mine in opened they sent me a new one back, my friend did the same and they told him that his console was not "eligible" for repair. So lets hope you have a slacker for a technician, i don't think they care anyways they get their paycheck the same.
well with the sort of luck we get,id probably get it sent back with half its insided missing,, IF i got it back at all,!! yes im a glass half empty sort o person!!! he he, best o luck tho, im hoping mine is fixable and not too costly the kids go round their mates to play on his 360 so i get a quiet house !!
