Red X where picture should be

    Hi all, I keep coming across this problem where instead of a picture I get a red x while viewing web pages.

    I have tried IE 6, Firefox and AOL to browse the sites and all return the red X's.

    I have checked with M$ but I have the 'show pictures' checked in IE tools.


    Has anyone any suggestions as to how I can sort this out? Any replies welcome.

    This happens to me as well sometimes and I'd like to know why also. It happened in my hotmail all the time so I switched to gmail which works like a charm. Some site I go into will have those little red Xs where the pix should be ... has nothing to do with porn. Happens in (some) regular sites and I wouldn't know about the naughty stuff ;)

    possibly the web host server is down causing the picture not to show
