redoing a system

    i want to redo my system, (gigabyte k8n pro, m, board)
    the bios has to be flashed, but what are the procedures on doing so, format first, then flash, or vise_virsa, is there anything out there that helps format h_drives, hurd of kill_disk but not sure what it is,

    BIOS and OS are separate entities so it doesnt matter which order you use.

    To format, just boot off the CD and you'll be presented with the option of formatting

    As Praetor said, it doesnt matter which order you do it.

    You can either

    1. Put the OS disc into ur CD-ROM drive, and choose the option of formatting there
    OR
    2. Start the comptuer with a Start-up Floppy Disk which will boot into DOS.
    Then FDISK and remove and create the partition again, then Format Z: /U (Z being the drive u want to format)

    Then installing Windows from the CD, and converting to NTFS (Win2000/XP)

    Eaisest way is to boot from the CD.
