redundant software

    i have a few softwares that kind of do the same thing, and i want to know, which is better to keep and which should i uninstall??

    i have
    -dvd decrypter
    -powerISO
    -nero 8 ultra edition

    and i know they all can burn images, but im not sure which is better? anybody know?

    For just burning images I'd probably just keep Decrypter. Though ther updated burn engine of Decryper is ImgBurn.

    But personally I'd keep all 3 - each does something the other 2 may not.
    Nero is a pretty complete package when it comes to creating & burning audio & video.

    what does poweriso have that nero doesnt? the only thing i can think of is multiple virtual drives, while nero only has 2 max.

    I think it will also compress and split iso's - something that I haven't found in Nero.

    what does nero have that the other two dont? so far, the only thing i can find is that it can play dvds with the nero show time. thats about it. should i uninstall nero?

    Nero has Vision which will convert like avi's to a dvd complaint file. Nice to have :)
    Another program is Recode - it will take movies and compress them to fit on a single layer disc or convert video to put in an iPod or PSP.
    There's probably a few more things but these are 2 biggies to me :)
