reformat dvd+rw

    I bought a new dvd+rw and when i burn it with alcohol 120% it tells me that the disc is still unformatted so i did a full erase with nero on the disc but its still says its unformatted. any help would be appreciated~Thanks~~

    Well, I don't deal a lot with RW's but I don't think a full erase is the same as formatting it. I'm not sure what programs would formatt it, but you could try going to My Computer, right click on the dirve, and select formatt. If I'm wrong, someone please speak up. Good luck.

    dvd rw discs need to be formatted before using most programs will do this before recording begins if your program will not format the disc use another program nero will format dvd decrypter will do it

    Yeah me too i used the DVD+RW in the past but not often.If my memory serves me well,i did the formatting without any complication,i think you can get your disc formatted using that same Nero program,it does have the formatting feature.And everytime you will burn things on the disc it will make an auto-formatting before writing to the disc.But everytime i have to erase the disc,i use the full erase option instead the quick erase,it will take a little bit more time but it will get rid of any hidden information present in the disc.

    You'll see,it's very easy to understand the formatting and erasing thing.Just follow the steps.After the first try,it will become much clearer and easier for you.
