Sorry if this has already been covered. I have some PAL DVD-rs that I've been trying to convert to either region free or region 1 so the copies I make will play on a NTSC DVD player. I'm using DVD Shrink which has an option to choose region free or I can pick regions 1 - 6. First I tried burning one in region free but after it was done burning & I put it into one of my normal DVD players it wouldn'tplay saying it was a PAL disc. Then I tried burning another one as region 1 and the same thing happened. What am I doing wrong or can anyone suggest an alternative program I can use. Thanx, Chris
What you need to do is convert the files from PAL to NTSC..the region code does not apply. You can do this quite easily by using Nero. Open Nero, click on More and then on Video options and then choose NTSC You can also use Nero Recode
