Hello, I was wondering if there are ways or stand alone dvd players for that matter that let any region DVD play on the single system. I bought my DVD stand alone player Philips here in Korea and I think I can only play Region 3 DVD's on there, am I mistaken?? Are there ways for me to play a Region 1 (US) DVD on my player and NOT have the distorted picture??? Please tell me the ways around it. I Thought about just buying a DVD/ Divx DVD player, would that help in any way for me to also view Region 1 and Region 3 DVD's??? I know about Regionfree software for the PC and it works just wonderful there, but how about stand alone DVD player, please enlighten me ... Thank you So Much Ralph
What you have to do is to go to http://www.dvdcodes.net/ go to codes, go click on your brand, then click on the thing that has your model, it will show you how to, in some cases, choose what region you want or have it where you have all regions. Not all models are on there though. Hope this helps you.
