    Hi,
I have a dell xp computer, the specs are all fine so no trouble there. However, when I put my DVD RW disk into the computer it doesn't register it. The D-Drive just remains blank. Sure, I thought, that could just be because the actual cd is blank. But when I tried to burn some media files onto it using "VSO DivxToDVD" it said that I must enter a disk more then 750mb. Strange because the cds are 4.8gb in size. They're the ones by imation.

So anyway, it was obviously not registering the disk and I had followed all instructions using a guide on the DivxToDVD application. If it matters I have an emulated E drive that I use with Demon Tools. Does this matter?

    Thanks

imation discss are not good quality media! I have a dell computer too and I never used imation discs so I can't say wherther it's the disc or not but try better media.....Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony, Maxell to name a few.

do you have a combo drive? D drive being a DVD, CD reader and the E drive being the writer? if so, you put the RW disc in the wrong drive so it wouldn't recognize the disc!

Yeah it's just a combo drive, the E drive isn't physically there. It just emulates one.

Please, anyone who has an idea why it doesn't recognise the disk?
