Is there any way that I could get this program free? I mean I tried the trial version and its great. Or if there isn't, is there another program out there that does exactly the same thing as Registry Mechanic? I already had Ad-Aware,Spyware,Norton,Free Registry Defrag, ccleaner and easycleaner I also used to have the trial version of Tune-up Utilities and for me, that is like the best program out there! But man, I need to pay for it to get the full version. PLease please...... help me out here. If you know any program just like (Registry Mechanic and Tune-up Utilities) that is free, hook me up. Cuz I personally believe that those 2 programs are the most reliable and I need those kind of programs badly. Thanks in advance..
Hi Schwaber Try this one - ccleaner. Great program & it's free. I used to use registry mechanic but like ccleaner better. http://ccleaner.com Don't know of a free app like TuneUp.
Binkie7 check your PM.What about Registry Booster i heard its good but it do cost but it is worth the money.
@DamonDash Never tried that one - don't really like their free trial - only 15 entries! Each program may find something another didn't - just like spyware progs. Give ccleaner at try - free and I run it on 3 pc's. Picked up more than registry mechanic did for me.

LOL, I forgot to include it in my first post. Sorry for that. Anyway, I scanned my computer using Registry Mechanic and found like 600 files at risk! That was after using ccleaner.
@Schwaber Sorry I was directing that post at DamonDash Dang I have never had 600 files found using any registry program! But your right what one might not pick up another does. Another free one is regseeker. Haven't tried it yet though. Downloaded it but that's as far as I've got http://www.majorgeeks.com/RegSeeker_d2579.html
Do you think that this program is safe? From what I read, it does the exact same thing as ccleaner and easycleaner. I hope that this is not a scam. Thanks for your consideration mate!
Oh I don't think it's a scam - (would never post it - came from a good friend) Has better ratings from users than Registry Mechanic and Registry Booster on Cnet and majorgeeks. But not like their the end all be all Looked like it did a deeper clean than all the other programs - but I haven't finished reading thru it - seems a bit more advanced. Here's cnet info and reviews on it: http://www.download.com/RegSeeker/3000-2094_4-10547413.html?tag=tab_pub Here's regseekers site: http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm Both of these site do list (cnet & majorgeeks) alot of good programs, utilities (free & not free) so you might find something else too - like for TuneUp. I will probably try regseeker this week and can let you know if you like.
Ok - I'll use it by this weekend & let you know. I'm interested in seeing if it picks up entries that Registry Mechanic and CCleaner didn't get.
Hey Schwaber Okay tried it out - found stuff that others hadn't (my what a suprise :0). Caveat - this tool you really need to pay attention to what it finds. Found things that I did not delete. Classify's by red and green. No real guide to help on this tool and some of the red items didn't need to be deleted. Not as user friendly as the others - I definitely backed up the registry and did a restore point before using. I'll definitely need to explore this one more.
I have been using Reg Vac which does an okay job, had CCleaner and it was fine for freeware but it had a conflict with my Dell Resource Disk. Tried Registry Smoker..........unfortunately it smoked out a little too much and I had to do a restore. You need to be careful of these programs and do a backup and restore point as binkie suggests before using them.
Sorry about that I must have over read it or something. I also took out my post. Because as you pointed out its useless.
