Reinstalling xp Home

    have just built a new computer. I installed xp home & the other drivers needed to get it runing, but it was runing poorly, so tryed to repair xp, so formated c: went to reinstall xp got to the EULA went to press F8 to accept , but it wont let me.PLEASE HELP!

    Is the disc smudged scratched at all or is the disc drive not seeming to work propperly. give it another go and see if it does it again.

    Does it show a message "no hard drive detected"?If so then unplugg your hdd and plug it in again, it should work then.

    I had this problem before,is your keyboard ps/2 or usb? My usb board would'nt work at that point on my new pc and I plugged in a different one (ps/2) and it was fine. I know it sounds dumb but try it...it's something about the usb ports not recognizing the keyboard or something like that. Hope this helps
