I was just wondering if anyone has purchased from shop4tech.com, and if so are they reliable,I notice they do offer some good prices and also free shipping which is a huge plus..Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Sher
I have a Sony DRX-530UL for burning and the Sony tech told me to "use only Sony or Verbatim" discs. Of course I'd already bought a bunch of DVD+R discs from shop4tech. As it turns out, 80-90% of those discs (I think they're shop4tech branded but you can't tell from the discs themselves -- they're blank!) have worked fine using DVD Shrink + Nero -- and I've checked them in at least 2 DVD players and they've been fine (they didn't work in my Cyberhome DVD player because, as I found out after buying it, it doesn't read DVD+R discs). You might just buy a few to see how they are in your computer -- media/hardware combos seem to be so temperamental & idiosyncratic. Post again if you want more info.
I get all my Ritek RiDATA from newegg.com which is an outstanding outfit to deal with. Right now they have a 50 spindle of RiDATA for $39 with free shipping http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-315&depa=1
I am more concerned about the companies reputation as far as shipping on time, security concerning my credit card..I am real funny about using credit cards online, especially if its a company I have never dealt with in the past..As far as media goes ( and I know some of you old timers are gonna yell) before I knew anything I bought fujifilm dvd-r, well I have had nothing but success with them, so I am kinda leary about trying a different brand..if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? thanks Sher
I used to feel that way too, not anymore. I've been buying Ritek rw's and Ritek G04 r's from Meritline. Right now Go4's for .71 ea. with free shipping per/100. Fifty packs not much more, also with free shipping. Also, you can get cases (100 per box) for 4.00-7.00 a box on ebay. Shipping runs about 17.00-23.00 a box. Works out to .21-.30 a case. Use Paypal and no one has your C.C.# but them in both instances.
