Reliable places to buy shiiiat

i am wanting to get my PS2 chipped, ive got a chip it is the M-chip 3, i was wondering where a good place would be to get this chipped in the U.K?and has anyone else got this chip?if so is it any good?

 

No the Magic III chip isn't very good. It's serviceable, but lacks the high end features of the Crystal Chip 1.1, Matrix Infinity, and DMS 4 Pro SE. Read the Modchip FAQ in my sig.

thanks a lot. i'm not really a major gamer but i have also bought some foreighn games so just as long as it works i am happy, is there any sort of gaurantee that it will deffinetly work?

 

I believe it supports games from other regions, but I'm not sure about a Y fix. If your TV doesn't support dual video formats, games from other regions may be rolling and in black and white.

what about the: Magic Duo 2GT ModChip, or apollo 7?are these better and mor reliable?

i'm in the philippines on vacation. got my slim ps2 modded for about $50 US and it's been working great;godfather, black, 24, Tomb Raider Legend, Kingdom Hearts II, etc...

 

for those of you who have pre-modded systems how long have you had'em for? Also, do any sites such as that one do pre-mods to JPN systems?

 

It might be tough finding a site that has premodded NTSC-Jap consoles, at least in the US. I have no idea where to get started there, and I'd recommend you get a NTSC US system, unless you need the NTSC Jap PS2 to get online in your region.

 

does anyone know if chips like the matrix infinity even work with JPN systems?

EDIT: and yes I do want to play Jap PS2 games online in the US.

 

Yes it works on all region systems like the DMS 4 Pro SE and Crystal Chip 1.1. Read my modchip FAQ, it'd be silly not to.
