I want to upgrade to a SM 3.6, but I don't know where to buy one from. I found a site called Swapnslide, but I don't know if they're reliable. I don't want to get ripped off, and I was just wondering what would be a good site to order from.
I got mine from this site: http://ihackps2.org/inventory/home.php The guy that owns this site posts on forums all over the place. It's $20 right now. Another reliable site is www.modchip.com, but it's $10 more there.
you can UPGRADE HERE "Swap Magic 3 Upgrade Programme Good news to all Swap Magic users! Now you can upgrade your older version of SwapMagic3 to the latest version 3.6 EVEN THOUGH it is a faulty disc. Worldwide Free Shipping. Upgrade Now!" im not sure if it's only for 3.0 though http://www.linker4u.com/pp/upgrade.asp
If you read the "upgrade" links more closely, they're almost the same price as the full-fledged retail purchase despite requiring more documentation. ihackps2 looks like a decent site, though I have no experience with them. Others have related good experiences with gocybershop.ca and consolesource.com. I can vouch for consolescource myself, having seen some very quick customer service response from them in the past.
i'm just about to order SMv3.6+ BreakerPro +magic keys. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Shipped to FL, it's $41.11.
a good place to get Swap Magic is www.modchipstore.com I got mine in a couple of days and it worked perfectly.
I got my Fliptop+SM 3.6 from www.gocybershop.ca ,they shipped it to FL farly fast and in good condition. They have good prices to.
Just got my 3.6 from swapnslide.com, quick shipping, just what i ordered. Now I am playing my imports and currently loading a backup to my usb hd because sm 3.6 loads usb advance from my hd. so easy and awesome. We'll see how well Kaido Battle 2 and Initial D work off the HD. My dvd drive is getting old and doesn't really like reading any discs anymore, PS@ or not. I have to use a method I invented called the "midas touch" that involves opening the ps2 and touching the spinning disc, just to play. Hopefully this HD backup solution will do it. But yes, swapnslide is reliable and I looked around when I bought, I think they are the cheapest. werd. -viperware-
Try any torrent site: mininova, Torrentspy, etc. You will have to have an original copy to boot the downloaded version.
I got my Swap Magic 3.6 off of www.consolesource.com. I recommend just getting something like KeyLauncher and booting it off of your memory card like Cogswap or something similar.
I also deal with http://gocybershopping.com - cheap, cheap, cheap for modchips and flip tops see here: http://www.gocybershopping.com/customer/search.php?substring=flip+top&search.x=21&search.y=16
What's Cogswap? Is it possible to have a file on your memory card that lets you skip the boot disc? Like I can just put in a backup and it will load if I have a special file on my memory card? I thought I'd heard of this, but I wasn't sure.
