Hi. My grand daughter has lost my remote for my DVD player. I tore the house up looking for it. It is a ILO DVDR05. I went to the Wal-Mart website to see if I could purchase a replacement remote and they said it was out of stock and in fact the DVD was no longer for sale. I just got this for Christmas 2005. Does anyone have a remote for this player I could buy. Thanks.

Thanks. That's my remote all right. However it is the only place I can find it on the whole internet and it is out of stock. That link takes me to the Wal-Mart site and I had already checked that out. They no longer sell the DVDR either. My only hope is that someone has one for the recorder that they are not using because perhaps the DVD broke or what ever.

OK --- was afraid of that and so are other sites

Call WalMart in Texas [its their nickel]
Tell them the unit is less than a year old and all suppliers including WalMart say [Out of Stock. Tell them to provide an original remote that you are willing to purchase or replace the ilo-R04 with an equal. that it is there responsibility to provide repplacement/repair parts

I had a similar issue with an R04 [not mine] some time back the unit was over a year old and the drive was defective and the owner would pay but could not get the part
Because it was an 04 another [The 05 cannot be hacked as the 04]
unit was not acceptable for replacement.
WalMart repaired the unit with a new drive for a total of $40

Ebay does have 05 remotes from time to time but the cost can be to much. A Universal learning unit may work for you but without the original could cause problems and it may not work correctly

I would go the WalMart Route

Thank you so much for that suggestion. I will go that route and let you know if it is successful. Thanks again.
