    Hey Man

I recently bought an old Lyra rd2780.
It doesn't support bframes, (though it still plays avi's with bframes and shows a warning saying sync can be lost).
How do I remove bframes using XVID, there is an option on divx to do this but I can't find it in XVID config.
Also, I have a variety of avi's on the Lyra now all with different encode/bitrate e.t.c. settings, but all the avis show large pixels whenever there is a dark colour or black in the video.
Is this caused by the lyras overall quality or by the encoding?
If it is the encoding how do I fix this?

    Cheers Man

You have to re-encode to remove bframes. In Xvid just set the number to 0 or untick. You could also set it to SP.

    Set what number to 0?
I can't find any option that has sp in it.

As I said set it to 0, untick or set it to Simple Profile.
