Okay, so I want to remove my codecs so I'll be able to burn my .avi files without having the perfect DVD with no audio issue...

...and I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Can someone help me? Step by step is best for me. ^^' heh. I'm sorta new at this! ^__^

    Thank you!

How, then, would you be able to encode without codecs?

You might indeed have a codec problem, but there could be other reasons.

I trust you had sound before encoding, right? So which program did you use for the encoding and/or final burning?

I used AllVideo burner. It burns .avi files straight to DVD...and there was no audio when I went to go into the living room and play it on my DVD player. I also tried it on my ps2 to make sure it was the DVD and not my player, because the video would play wonderfully. ;_; I hope you can help me out. Thank you for replying by the way.

Thank you. ^___^ I'll try Divx and get back to you if one or the other works, or doesn't work. ^__^
