Okay, so I want to remove my codecs so I'll be able to burn my .avi files without having the perfect DVD with no audio issue... ...and I'm not sure how to go about doing that. Can someone help me? Step by step is best for me. ^^' heh. I'm sorta new at this! ^__^ Thank you! - Rachel http://doujinshiadoptions.net - WE NEED JAPANESE TRANSLATORS + SCANNERS!
Well, do you know step by step with a program how to get my avi files to play with audio? They're burn great, but there's NEVER any audio, and I don't know what to do. Everyone's always like "You have a codec problem!" and then never reply more than that...HELP PLEASE!
You might indeed have a codec problem, but there could be other reasons. I trust you had sound before encoding, right? So which program did you use for the encoding and/or final burning?
I used AllVideo burner. It burns .avi files straight to DVD...and there was no audio when I went to go into the living room and play it on my DVD player. I also tried it on my ps2 to make sure it was the DVD and not my player, because the video would play wonderfully. ;_; I hope you can help me out. Thank you for replying by the way.
No problem, that's what this forum is about. First, you may want to try convert with another program, e.g. VSO DivxToDVD (free version) to see if it's better. VSO is a very good, free program: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm If you still do not get sound, then try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) before converting with VSO again: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm Good luck!
