removing laptop password

    hey everyone i have an old enough toshiba laptop that has a password on it ad i cant get round it anyone any ideas, it was my friends but she doesnt remember the password, help would be appreciated its windows xp

    Have you tried booting into safe mode (pressing F8 at bootup) and using the Administrator account (hope she didn't put a password on that too).

    i think i have done that but not sure so i will try it again and let you know, if a password is on that too is there anything else
