Renaming Video files .ext?

    I have heard people say you can easily change the .ext of a video file is this true? If so how? the file have is a .ogg file.

    Just as easy as any other file. ren *.ogg *.somethingelse. Doesn't change the fact that it is an ogg file, assuming that is what it is. Chances are it is really an ogm (ogg theora files are not that common), so ren *.ogg *.ogm

    Hey celtic d thanks for the quick response just pretend I'm a complete newb when you explain like do I use notpad or what shit do I use bro? I just wanna say 2 words in parting...Rangers Forever!

    Rt click on the file in Windows Explorer and choose Rename. :)

    You would have to disable the hiding of known file extensions (or at least the extension in question) first.

    Is that under folder options in my control panel folder? Not sure I follow.
