I know there are at least a couple other threads around concerning similar issues, but I can't seem to sort this one out after reading through those. I updated the firmware for my drive and also removed any MusicMatch EXE interference, but still no go. I've managed to burn a DVD on Nero Home, but can't get past 3-4% on Nero Express. The discs I have _I believe_ are TDKs, but I got them almost a year ago and they're unlabeled. At the moment though, I'm just blowing through discs trying different "fixes," so I don't want to try anything more until I get advice from someone more in the know. **023005 Cannot write medium - incompatible format The drive may not be operating properly due to unstable computer and devices. Please check your computer and all your device connections. shut down all unnecessary programs running in the background, no internet while burning, and even shut down anti virus programs while Nero is running! You say you are using TDKs (The discs I have _I believe_ are TDKs, but I got them almost a year ago ) and it's a Tayo Yuden disk and you are still getting Illegal disc error! Maybe your disks are fake TYs? I would use different media..... try Verbatim and real Taiyo Yuden disks. Try the +R media instead of the -R media. And, of course, Nero 8 might still be buggy.
