If you do happen to brick your drive do any of the following methods work? a)Buy a new drive (different model) read the flash, patch it with the old key and flash the drive. a)Buy a new drive (same model) read the flash, patch it with the old key and flash the drive. c)Give up and buy a new 360 Ger.
what if i just swap pcbs? i did this with the hitachi 47dj(old one) and the hitachi 27ac(new one) and it didnt work. i keep getting open tray message..the drive trieees to read the disc but gives up. do i need exact same rom version for a replacement? i thought the only difference in the two drives was the pcb itself, nothing else. .......at least thats what youtube said (lol) any help would be supremely appreciated
