Hi, I'm contemplating buying the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music Black Edition however it is locked to Orange, and I'm with o2 at the moment and don't wish to change. (I have checked the Nokia Unlock forum and this phone is listed as unlockable)

I was wondering if I bought it can I just simply call up Orange to request an unlock code (undoubtedly with a charge) or is there like a one year wait period before you can do so?

    Thanks for the assistance.
    Saavan.

Yeah I'm sure that if you call up customer service and pay a fee you they'll give you an unlock code.

If you are over 50% of contract with your current carrier they should be able to help you with a small fee/penalty at the end of term.
