SO i was looking into video cards a bit more, and, i was wondering as to how you can i tell what GPU is better than the other, based on information i can obtain from wiki (has all the statistics of every GPU model)?

I was looking at Nvidia video cards, and i'm trying to compare the 7200GS to the 8400GS.

It says in the article that the 8400 was an attempt to replace the 7 Series, but failed due to its poor 3d performance, yet, it says that the 8 Series is a big step up from the 7 series (plus DX10). How can i overall, make a better analyzation of whats actually better? As, the 7200 is MUCH cheaper

The 8400GS is significantly better than the 7200. Trouble is, pretty much anything is significantly better than the 8400GS, it's not a fast card, just that the 7200 is practically stationary.
How much do you have to spend on a video card? We may be able to find you something better.

Im sure you noticed that i wrote the other thread on the low profile video card; we can just move our discussion to there now and just close this thread so we're not taking up 2 thread spots! Thanks sammoris!
