Hi all, I've visited this forum times before for problems, and it seemed quite helpful. I was hoping you all could help me out with a problem on windows XP. I recently restored my E-Machines desktop because of a bad malware infestation. After i restored, i wanted to retrive my old files (music, photos, videos) and went to C:\My Backup -- 08-02-08 2356. but i had forgot that i passworded my user name before the restoration and now the Owner folder seems to be locked because of it. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this problem? (I've used Unlocker for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003 but it doesnt seem to read the lock.) heres a screenshot.
I've booted into safe mode and still got the same error message, i need help finding a unlocker for windows XP or some sort of method to get this folder to open and retrieve my old files.
