I have a gateway pc bought in 99, it came with windows 1998 and I up-graded to XP. I am selling that computer but I want to reset the computer to factory setting which, I hope, will be the windows 98. I used that computer for so long there are all kinds of files and programs that they don't needed and using that computer 8 yrs I can't even un-installed some. The problem is I can't find the book that explain what to do. So please if someone could let me know of a link or explain it step by step you will forever be spoken hightly about in the telling of great heros stories around the fire! :-}
the easiest way to that is to just reinstall windows 98 because if you just restore factory settings then that wont uninstall anything. if you don't have the installation disk then you could probably find a torrent for it and a valid license key should be on the case somewhere.
