Ok. first off i don't care if this has been talked about in previous post but why don't you go look through 780 something threads to find one post so don't be a snot nosed little brat about it and tell me to search or read through previous posts or this has already been posted before its rude and it will be alot faster if you just answer the question. Ok. My question is this i have a video thats in PAL and i used VOB Blanker and converted it to NTSC it works perfectly on the computer and in my regular DVD player with my tv but i have one slight problem. There is a black strip along the bottom of the screen it looks like the bottom part of a wide screen picture but there isn't one on the top and its cutting off the bottom of the menu's and the video itself. I've tried reseting the aspect ratio with IFOedit and with VOB Blanker but nothing seems to work im wondering if theres an option i havn't found yet if anyone has this problem or something very similar to it could you please help me out? NOTE: after i converted the video from PAL to NTSC i used DVDSHRINK to reauthor the DVD and then burned it with DVDdecryptor to a SONY DVD+R.

Sorry but too many times have people been total dicks about answering peoples questions i mean who wants to spend forever searching through thousands of threads and even more posts. i meant that for those who only go around the forum telling people to do searches or read through previous posts. Im sure there are alot of people who feel the same way i do. but those who seem like they live in the forum's
Yeah and that attitude is getting you no where so just may need to use that lovely little search function. Would have been better if you didn't include your first paragraph at all in your post. Then someone may have helped you. If you have a problem with someone being a D%$# then you need to report them to the MOD's that is why they are here. My impression from your post though is that they werent the ones being what you say D&^%$. Just incase you decide to edit... Have a good day and I really hope someone helps you out with this problem
OK so you have posted a total of 1 times... Hmmmmm My guess is you were inactivated once already and my second guess would be I bet it won't be long before you are gone again... Why not just show a little common curtousy and be a human being towards others and you may just find you will probably get what you are looking for. No one here gets paid to do this and they are all here to help out of the goodness of thier heart (well most are) the good out weigh the bad by a lot here at AD so if you run across any of the bad just let a MOD or even a senior or addict know we just may be able to help you out.. bbmayo the reason it shows as one post is because this is a new name but no i havn't posted alot on other names either because when i do post no matter if its nicely or not i still get rude responces. no i've never been deactivated from or anything like that so that answers that theory. It just gets frustrating that for often than not i get responces that do no good not because they say they don't know but because they act like they know but won't say i mean what would be the point in posting something if you don't the answer. i mean i can understand if someone posts saying they have the same problem but why post to tell someone to search through thousands of threads and posts that was the point i was making. and for me to have a newbie placed next to my name most people seem like they don't care to help newbies. sorry for that first paragraph but enough is enough and it gets old so to let people know if you can't answer my problem don't bother posting. its not being rude its just being honest and the way i feel. all im saying is if your not one of those that do what i described in that first paragraph then it wasn't meant for you.
Well I know that wasen't meant for me because I like helping people with newbie by their name the most! Even though just because it says newbie doesn't mean you are a newbie. You probablly know more about a lot of stuff than I do. I just try to help with what ever I have had experiance with, and I a haven't had the same issues you are having right now. Before you burn the disk or run it through Shrink (Just after converting from P A L to NTSC) How does it play on your computer then? Do you have the black line at the bottom then? This could narrow it down.. Then we will atleast know if its a reauthoring, burning or re-encoding issue.. Cheers
its not the reauthoring because from the actual burned copy it plays perfectly no errors anywhere but it only does that on my dvd player its a sanyo dvd/vcr recorder/player. i have thought about it being the authoring but its not.
hi this film you need to copy was it recorded on this tv/system recorder? as it will be VR format i think!
hi if an avi file to start with use AVI2DVD (free app) i just did a film = excellant! 384 = 5.1 surround sound 192 = 2.1 stereo
