Retrieving subtitles from DVDs with OPTIONAL subtitles

    I have got a few movies with optional subtitles. Most probably they were converted to .vob files from .avi and .srt files using CONVERTX.

    Is there any way to retrieve srt files (rip) with out using OCR ?

    No, but using the ocr output of 'DVDSubedit' gives good results - it doesn't need 'trained'.
    I run the output through a word processor to pick out the odd words that run together..
