    (1) review of this box the Technomate TM-600, is up against the new commers on the market like the Dreambox & Duolabs. this box is only has a single SD(Dvb-s/Mpeg2)sat tuner
has 3 Usb ports & also has fast-forward up to 64x normal speed/ Ethernet for home network to pc ( using Ngrab software)Vcl player installed .selling around £100.
    (2) also Sagemcom to release a Freeview+hd pvr (320Gb h/drive)twintuners 1080p £tba.
    (3) three new hd freeview boxes to come out of the sharp stable- 1st model tu-t2hr32 zapper has hdmi outputs+ upscaling of Std channels selling around £180 out now.
2nd box model tu-t2hr32 is a dual-tuner hd/pvr (320Gb h/drive)also has upscaling of sd channels to 1080p/Ethernet/dolby digtal plus also. out in may £290.
3rd one model tu-t1ur is a dtr capable of recording to external drives with 3 usb ports
u can record one channel while watching a recording & export recording to pc. around £100.out in may.in the UK.
    (4)At last Samsung model 40c7000 led 3D ready tv /has a freeview hd tuner/internet@tv/
4xhdmi/usb ports+more comes with a pair Active shutter 3D Glasses that would cost u over £100 to buy.this tv will convert 2D to 3D + DNLA media streaming & also to have
the bbc app/ iplayer soon.other news is that sky will only show full 3D programmes
& no upconverted 2D at all ,when they come on live soon.so they say?.
    (5) Google to release a stb onto the market using their Android mobile software.
this projet in association with Sony/Logtech/Intel also . this will help users to find movies & tv shows on broadcast/on demand services on the web also. Sony will use google
Android software on their TVs/ while intel will look at the latest Dual-core version
Atom processors. we have to wait & see on this one.
    (6) also in the news euro ses-astra want to have a market 3D standards for all 3Ds tv solds in europe ,so we don't be confused by different types of3Ds broadcasts.
    (7) what the different between the four type of 3D glasses now on the market
well let look at the passive polarised glasses first . these type have polarised layer in display projector filter with interlaced left & right images with polarised filter direct images to each eye, on the good side these are cheap around £40 to £50 to buy.
now on the down side these glasses & filter reduce brightness /contast/ interlace image/
reduce resolution. Now the other type are Active Shutter powered display or project switches rapidly (minimum 50Hz between left & right images with lcd shutter in synchronise via infrared signal. the up side are very big brightness & contast & high refresh rates of 120Hz,+ existing hight frame rate full Hd 1080 image. down side is a bit dear at over £100 But well worth it as this type is the best on the market so far
for 3D TVs . the others two types just Don't cut it for true 3DTVs.while other news is that SES Astra want all broadcasters in the union to keep their HDs broadcasts to a bandwidths of around 12Mbit/seconds ,where the BBC HD has reduce their down to around 10Mbit/sec in picture quality. in which the bbc had a load of conplaints from viewers on the down quality of their HD channel.
    .that all for now.

Canon, interesting. I do have major issues with 3D. Went with the kids to see Avatar in 3D and it was stunning. However I found the experience very hard on the eyes. I do not expect that 3D will take off in the home for family entertainment as certainly I would not not wish to watch it on a regular basis. Its nice every so often but I do not plan to have all the family wearing special glasses all night long watching TV. But thats just my personal opinion

i agree, watched the Utd game recently in 3d, looked nice, but, my eyes were tired after it and it wasnt the result that made em tired and of note, to get the optimum angles for the 3d effect, the angles in which you were watching the game were not the best a lot of long shots and due to this, you missed a lot of what you get watching it normally with the proper camera positions, just my tuppence on it.

I agree with u all on this, i would not like to sit all evening watching stuff in 3D for hours, even with the new glasses that are out most people but not all will get headache sore eyes ,now i think there are fliter in the new glasses active type might help. here the big but is nobody is sure yet on this working out fully. now over here in ireland these 3DTVs have come available in Harvey Norman stores & are selling like hot cakes. The 40-inch models are selling for €1,200. To get the best out of 3Dtv they say the bigger the screen the better the picture, they are even talking of a 110-inch 3DTV to come on the market(led)
of course these would be to big for most homes, u will need a have a very long room to view one that big.i think a 40-60 inch should suit most homes. Now there are 3 generations types of 3DTVs to come on the market over the next 4 to 7 years. this one now are the first
of the type. as MICKAH have said in the past nothing last for long ,things move on to the next stage 2nd generation & 3rd generation. they are only selling LG/3DTVs for now here ,but are waiting for more models to arrive. we will have to wait & see on using these 3D glasses in the long term & affect they will have on kids eyes

i have not seen Avatar 3D yet ,i goto see a lot of movies in the UCI cinema some in 3D ,now the glasses are a lot better than the old type we had in the past (red & green )i went to see Clash of the titans + other movie in 3D. but what i find is the 3D Affect is not that great in most of the 3D movies i have seen over this year & last year. now if you have a problem with your eyes at all ,the affect over a long time will give u pain in the eyes
i myself have not got a problem while watching the movie at all in 3D with the glasses

As I said Canon its just a personal opinion. I will not be running out to buy a 3D TV. I like 3D as a novelty, nothing else, so using the cinema will do me fine

Likewise on that fintannl i 2 won't be going out to buy one of them for now anyway
ILL wait and see if 3DTV is still going in a few years, if so they say they will bring out a 3rd generation projection type 3DTV to beam out into your living room & maybe around you to. come in about 2017 from now
we have to wait & see if that one come out on the market,i like to see that one for myself
that if the 3D market does not fall out of favour with the public by then.
oh just to say my opinion is that 3D should have stayed in the cinemas only.
