I would almost believe that this is at least an original concept. (which would probably not be realized any time soon..) But the last scene of the video where they show mario running out of the castle makes me think it's not. He looks very different from the modern mario we have seen on the n64 or the Cube. The proportions are a lot different and so is his face. And I gotta admit: this is too good to be true.
