Right hand side of screen is displaying a different colour

    I have a 26" acoustic solutins LCD HDTV. I bought it about 7-8 months ago I think. It has been working fine up until this point. I left the room about 45 mins ago and came back and noticed there was a strange effect on the right hand side of the screen. It looks almost like a computer running with 256 colours. It has a strange purple tint. I use the TV for a DVI-HDMI PC display and for a PS3. Anyone got any ideas what this could be and how to remedy it?

    you havent got any external speakers in close proximity have you?

    I have PC speakers right beside it, they never affected it before. I've also noticed now that the puprle tint does not appear immediately, only after the TV has been on a while.

    Truly as an experiment, take the speakers right away and see what happens over the next day. Start by discounting things first, then it's off the list..... remember, it's only to see if you can get to the bottom of your problem.
