Hello All, This is my first post on afterdawn. Im rather new to burning downloaded DVDs to watch on TV. Up until now I have been burning downloaded movies that came as images of video_ts, audio_ts files but they are 4.3ish GB downloads. Yesterday I tried to burn a divx .avi file and switched the format using DVD Shrink. I then burned it using Nero Burning Rom and it works more less fine but when it plays on my dvd player some of the right side of the movie 10-30% (estimate) is cut off. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to fix this? When i converted it on DVDSanta I used fullscreen opposed to widescreen, would that make it better? Thanks, Winston P.S the movie I am trying to burn is Boiler Room.
Alright so i tried converting the divx to widescreen opposed to fullscreen using DVDSanta last night and it still cut of the right side (approx. 20%) So I am going to say what I did step by step. 1) downloaded the movie through torrents 2) convert using DVDSanta (Video Files to DVD) the settings I used were Video Standard:NTSC / Video Resolution:High(720x480) / WideScreen (16:9) 3) Burn these files in Nero Burning ROM (DVD-Video) at 4x on Memorex DVD+RW DVDS using a LG Super Multi DVD Burner. so thats what I did and then when I play it it cuts off the right side? any ideas. The movies I used yesterday were Boiler Room and American Pie Band Camp. Thanks Everyone!
I dont use santa. I would guess it is in settings somewhere but not sure. If you dont get it sorted give vso divxtodvd a try.
