Ok when I burn a movie when you look at the back you can see a ring around it where it didn't burn they play and everything is fine with the pic and if I burn a movie that is really small you can really see it. Is this normal? Did I just not notice it before and I'm freaking out for nothing? My burner is a HP 300 I can anyone help me please. Thank You

I have a few of those, and its usually smaller movies that have the rings. Its unburned space. Its nothing to be concerned about. Its nothing to freak out over. As long as the movie is all there, you are good to go. Rejoice in the fact that you have a good copy and not a coaster...;)

Ok thanks the only thing that is burning coasters for me is dvdxcopy platinum made 30 + back ups and no coasters and about a week ago i don't know it just started to make my first coasters (8) after 7 phone calls and 4 hours makes a big phone bill and got no where. I think that I will be sticking with shrink/decrypter. Thanks for your help.

Also, if you are burning at 8x, there will be a noticeable ring around the inner part of the disc, maybe about 2cm across, which is when the writer changes from 6x speed to 8x speed, since most cannot write at 8x speed in the inner parts - hence 8x Max

Hey xbadboy2, Try using a dvd rom for the reading of the disc instead of using your burner for both. I found that this improves platinums performance. Also, make sure that your burner is set to DMA and not PIO. Also, you may want to defrag your hardrive. Hope this helps.
