You can use this website http://www.funformobile.com and upload whatever you want under 2mb. Then send it to your phone from the website. The website is free.

I tried the funformobile already but rememerber i dont have internet and read the instructions.
    1. Read the text message with a web link.
    2. Open the link, connect via Internet.
    3. Follow the appropriate prompts to download your content.

I have the same phone as you do. When I go to http://www.funformobile.com I upload my file. Then on the dropdown box you pick your provider and then type in your phone number. The file is sent as a text message. I don’t have internet on my phone either. There isn’t any weblink or prompts to download.

The only thing I can think of, your service provider does not support this. Your best bet then would be as Stevenps2 suggested. Google for the software but that doesn’t guarantee that your phone will support it. My phone provider is Verizon and mobile phone tools will communicate with the phone but ringtones and pictures are greyed out. That is because Verizon flashed the phone with their software. I know the workaround but it’s not worth the effort to me. I wish you good luck on your problem.

stevenps2, I haven’t tried p2kman but supposedly it won’t work with verizons .04 firmware. You need a workaround.

thats sly of them,so youll have to flash it to get rid of their firmware then im guessing, bit of a carry on just for few ringtones tho.

Stevenps2, yes there is one way that I can discuss here without getting rid of verizons firmware. You have to flash your phone to .02 (downgrade) of verizons firmware. This is when it used to work. Then you can bring your phone to a Verizon store and have them flash your phone to the newest firmware. The functionality will carry over. If you have .03, .04, or the newest .05 originally installed on your phone it will not work. Of course there are other ways with risk and then forget about any warrantee.

Verizon has a website storage account where you can upload pictures, wallpaper, ringtones etc. The catch is you have to pay an extra $10.00 U.S dollars a month to use their text messaging and what they call flix-pix. Somebody in their company probably came up with the idea after .02’s firmware and got a big bonus for the idea. I don’t like the fact that I paid for the phone and they limited the functionality of it with their firmware. I called customer service and the store where I bought the phones and their answers are completely useless. Anyway I bought the bullet and am paying the 10 bucks for I have a two year service contract. It’s not worth it to me to mess around because I have three of these phones, for each member of my family.

I’m also quite sure if I bring all three brand new phones with .02 firmware to a Verizon store to be flashed somebody would be suspicious. Anyway live and learn. Good day to you.

After a couple of nights of working at it i finally figured it out, the ringtone has to be under 15 seconds in mp2 format and i have 2 have it saved to my fone and then it works.
